I've seen this so very many times. Doesn't matter if the news source is the Podunk Weekly, the Wall Street Journal, the New York Times, Dow Jones Newswire , or, in this case, the Dallas Morning News or ABC.

If the story isn't favorable to the object of the True Longs' devotion, the sources are worthless purveyors of yellow journalism.

It's pathetic, really.
