May vary by state. Be in habit on printing and saving anything in email that seems off or you are not sure about. If dm bashes in an email, save it. This all shows hostile work environment. Especially if someone is fired. Always believe that you should cover your butt, just in case. May have to get in touch with state labor board to find out if violates anything. Of course, company probably can't afford lawyers to fight unemployment claims anyway.

I have been with the company for 10 years and have never heard of any "rule" about doing write ups in person. I personally think that is a much better business practice but with the amount of studios that these DMs are currently handling I don't think it's an option to deliver them in person. They are also still on travel restrictions so pretty much they are working from home. I am by no means defending them, just saying they are doing what they are told to do to keep their jobs. They are very aware that they are just as much a number as the 50 fired DMs and the 50 furloughed DMs. Again I have to add that I think it's bad business to deliver write ups through email, but I don't think they have much of a choice at this point and I don't think it's a law or anything.

They can send you a corrective action any way they choose, I suppose, but it's not valid if you don't sign it. Make sure if you are getting written up for not meeting a sales goal, that you do keep track of these ridiculous goals just in case you need to prove your case. Honestly, we did a lot better last year when we just followed the Daily Sales Report for sits and sales. Something to try to reach clumping days together. How unrealistic.

In my area, people don't have disposable income like they do in the bigger cities. I do expect to see an increase a bit right now because of people getting tax refunds but there are people who would rather buy large screen tv's and a fridge full of beer before they spend any money to get their kids pictures taken. Sad, but true!
