#6633 RE: Poot Poot #6609

Begging your pardon, but but what do you mean evolution "cannot be tested?" There is evidence for evolution in many observable forms, from DNA studies, to physical anthropological finds - why, all of biology is based on the findings of science in regard the Theory of Evolution (which, like the Theory of Gravity, is a scientific theory, and that means, yes, there's evidence! - I mean, who can you deny the Theory of Gravity?)

Don't kid yourself (and don't let anyone else jerk you around) - there's only ONE science (that is to say, there is no "alternate science" just as there is no "alternate math" - it's either verifiable, falsifiable, subjected to rigorous testing science, backed by scientific research publications ... or it ain't science). The principles behind the scientific method are all about testing. Science is about investigation and willingness to correct mistakes; religion, on the other hand, is about faith and adherence to dogma.

It would be nice if religion refrained from making claims about observable reality. However, that is very unlikely.
