Hey Bank! I was trying to go to sleep when it hit me--we ALREADY have a BiB CV (Blimp in a Box Commercial Version) demonstrator built! I bet you the Mark 1 from AUVSI is sitting in the Easton hangar gathering dust. They may have cannibalized it a little but that means replacing some parts--bet you winch, tether, box and that old envelope are intact. It doesn't have the trailer either. And we have seen it fly on FaceBook.
I would replace that old Galaxy Blimps envelope with an undersail aerostat in polyurethane instead of the special fabric of the MilSpec version but that is about it. Not expensive. Bet you we could have a new product line for under $10K. There are multiple ways to commercialize it as well I could tell you offline.
If you are interested, I would be glad to approach Glenn with you with the proposal. All sales would be on your team and us (they have to laser focus on the MilSpec version IMO) and while I can help with a lot, we are not strong outside military, security and first responder markets. With an old prototype re-purposed for s new product line, I bet we could negotiate a share of revenues in either cash or stock though. Worth a try anyway. Think about it and let me know.
