>Imclone -- goes back on my B-list. I never really liked the stock, but was swayed by everyone calling it a takeover play.<

Actually, I think IMCL is a more likely buyout candidate now than it was before the Panitumumab results came out: #msg-8370109.

I previously posted that the chance of a buyout in the next 6-9 months was about 25%. Now, I think it is somewhat higher than that. Regards, Dew

p.s. All those billions of repatriated money from the 2005 tax break have to go somewhere. Even such a second-tier BP as SGP is repatriating $9B in cash this year.

Gfp - Did you get your revised/slipped timeline estimates for the 3 trials from R&R today?... Feb and March are definitely later than I was expecting and hoping for. I listened to just a few moments of the presentation today and I either saw or heard 1Q 2006 for the trial results, but nothing more specific than that. But I missed most of the audio presentation so perhaps Dr. Stoll gave more specific dates.

I'm pretty sure you are being a smarter trader right now waiting to buy COR, but my gut just told me to buy when it hit $2.05 and so I did. With a little luck it will blip up so I can sell some, then I can join you in buying a little later this year.

I closed out my PPHM and GTCB positions today in order to buy some COR - I made a little on PPHM and lost a little on GTCB. Both will remain on my close watch list, GTCB in particular as I always seem to be a little too late in my planned re-entry. The time will soon arrive again when GTCB will start rising in anticipation of the latest incarnation of the EMEA decision on Atryn... Aiming4.

P.S. The difference between buying COR at $2.05 vs $1.75 is pretty significant IMHO! :^) The extra 14% share count would be nice to have when the trial results are publicized and rumors of a BP deal heat up.
