Answer: They were to launch it with Squire Enix, but Square Enix ran into financial trouble, hence all of the cut backs. So they were not able to proceed with the project at that time. Danny didn't want to wait years for Square Enix to get their stuff together, which may never even happen, so he venture off on his own with a merger into IENT.
