The big SP3 file I carried over on the thumb drive to the XP computer was a good file...

so I saved it to the XP desktop.

I then searched with Google for a Windows XP SP1 file.

I found it on Microsoft's site and it wasn't a typical download.

Microsoft wanted it to send it to my email on the Win 7 computer, which I did. Then I copied it to the thumb drive and brought it to the XP computer and also transfered it to the XP desktop.

I'm going to try and see if I can run those two files.

If I'm right, they should work.

If not, I'll come back to retrieve your SP1 link and carry it back over to the XP computer.
