Before binary events in pharma they do go up. May be you are not aware. Even if you think they should lose value - not 30%+ in one day 8 days before expiration on a stock that did not move much.

Of course, time decay accelerates rapidly as expiration approaches for Jan '13 CLSN options.

The Jan '13s are getting crushed, naturally.
