When IDCC signs a patent license agreement the details of any press release are agreed upon by the parties. Usually the licensee wants to keep most details secret. If you compare this press release with the announcement of their previous signing (below) you will see that they are basically identical except for the period of the agreement.

Amendment to Existing License Agreement Between the Companies
KING OF PRUSSIA, Pa.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 11, 2007--InterDigital, Inc. (NASDAQ:IDCC) today announced that, on October 8, 2007, its companies, InterDigital Technology Corporation ("ITC"), Tantivy Communications, Inc., and IPR Licensing, Inc. (collectively, "InterDigital"), entered into an Amendment of the existing Patent License Agreement between ITC and Research In Motion Limited ("RIM"). Under the terms of the Amendment, InterDigital and RIM have extended the term of the Patent License Agreement through December 31, 2012 and also expanded the scope of their non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-bearing Patent License Agreement to cover 3G products.
