Tragedies, epidemics, diseases-- there is a subset of society that sees opportunity to scam the vulnerable. Same type of people that read the obits to break into houses during funerals.

One of my early scams was an herbal aids remedy. Thankfully they went to prison. I've seen Anthax scams. SARS, Birdflu. If it's in the news, it sells stock.

Chris Hansen of NBC did an expose of a doctor that had a scam cure for some horrible illness using stem cells. It was amazing and sickening to watch the guy sell his cure to this dying man.

Sorry for your history. We do share the fact we're both have been widowers(mine was murdered), and we share the fact we've both been SCAMMED by IMDS.

34. Wow. My last hunting trip a few years ago I spent going around the mountains to get guys out of trees because my buddy's wife died at 43 and they could only get hold of me by cell phone. Her mother died at 43 and her grandmother at 43. All of breast cancer. She had a radical double mastectomy because of her family history after she had cancer at age 34 and just had the thumbs-up from her doctor 1 week before. Life can suck as you know.

Butt, bsck to IMDS. Imagine if the money we pizzed away was actually spent on something of merit to forward breast cancer research instead of enriching the Grab-All clan. Over 125M wasted on this SCAM. Absolutely disgusts me, and provide the motivation to stay here.

I'm sure we could share some good conversation over a cocktail or 2 now that I know the commonality of our pasts.
