#132181 RE: museman #132167

In 2002 I was introduced to sub-penny trading by a 75 year old guy whom had studied under one of his engineering profs at MIT. He was raised up old school with the the books and the long math, way before anything but analog computers. The fellow read things in charts that the average eye couldn't discern and I found it all quite amazing and he made good money and put it into accounts for his grandchildren.

But over time I have drifted to a more holistic style of both fundamentals and the key charting technicals and have found that regardless of the craft employed, there are many pitfalls to encounter along the way. I'm not sure that there has always been the criminal ilk we find in these markets today as I suspect that before the commonality of computers the mob were merely running gaming, booze, prostitution, drugs, interstate commerce hijackings and murder for hire. Now they all wear suits and you can't tell a thing from the last names.

So when we look at the KMAG story, everything is hypothetical following the suspension as there is no more other than it is trading on the GREYS. Just hype and the games people play. Unfortunately there are many BAGHOLDERS whom will suffer for their loses going into the holidays and on. Maybe KMAG will arise from the ashes but just as likely, maybe not. If it does, good vindication for Jeff Reed and really good news for the investors whom have been caught up in this nightmare.

I won't trade in the GREYS. It's enough to engage the PINKS let alone something suspended for what ever reasons there may be. Someone asked about law suits for openly accusing Jeff Reed of being dishonest and a crook and what have you. I have no idea about any of those things. Certainly this is a discussion board and if there were to be any repercussions, which I would strongly doubt, Mr. Reed needs to pull this cluster out of the fire whole and exonerated.

Exonerated brings me to my final point. I can't for the life of me understand how a competent CEO could be caught in such a travesty that he gets his company suspended and all of his shareholders thrown in absolute disarray and placed at such high risk. I mean really, who does such a thing, who is running or has been running the company? So crook, liar or not, something is for sure wrong in the scope of things. Real wrong! Hoping to discover that the SEC made a mistake and were about to roll over and let everything go back to normal is absurd in my opinion. They know fair well the damages such a decision causes investors and a company and they would not be so stupid as to set those wheels in motion without good cause. Come on, show me one example where this has been the case in recent times!

If for some amazing unimaginable reason KMAG and Jeff Reed get a clean bill of health from the SEC, what should the liabilities be against the Federal Government for mismanagement, inappropriate administration of their responsibilities, the financial losses of citizens in countries around the globe? With this in mind, does anyone really think that everything is going to be okay here? I would be more than more than amazed.

Now, back to charts and charting and all those technicals! They are history and like tealeaves, we may tell some things sometimes about the future based upon trending patterns most commonly follo0wed. Depending of course on there not being any significant crisis totally throwing those patterns into disarray. You know, like major catastrophes and buildings being bombed and bangs being bilked out of billions. Well here we have a mini earthquake in the overall scope of things, but a major destruction at the epicenter that does not bode well for the sentiments keeping the PPS buoyant.

It is for these reasons as I have more thoroughly addressed here that I have little confidence and would not exercise a trade in the GREYS and I know that I have only touched on part of the story. Someone wanting a book can get all they need at Traderslibrary.com.

In the mean time, I obviously wish everyone well and hope that all of my reservations about KMAG are for not in this case, under these circumstances. We are all the captains of our own destinies and mine is not to believe in this case. Best wishes.

Johnny,
You make good points, better than all of the criticisms I get every time I post a chart. I would add to your observation that accuracy of technical analysis is heightened when there is high volume. And there is practically none here.
Sharing your cynicism, I would not post charts. However, since the KMAG crash the charts have actually worked and had you followed standard buy, sell and avoid signals for the last 3 months, you would be sitting on nearly 200% profits right now.
Following technical analysis, I avoided buying during the decline and started buying in the .002's. I got a trading signal to sell at .005 but chose to ignore it. We'll see.
