Google earth IS NOT a live real time satellite feed. While google earth is amazing in what it appears to do, the images are dated and unfortunately google does not put the date the image was purchased for use by them on the frame.

So bottom line, you cannot use it for tracking like GPS or in fact use it to see the rig as it travels to the field.
