That does not appear to be a mining company. Companies in the tech and bio industries have had some spectacular buyouts but this is unrelated to junior mining in my opinion. The average premium in a mining acquisition is around 25% (ballpark guess, not a firm number). There are similarities between research and development stocks and junior explorers in many ways (developing and proving a thesis for geology or a cancer med, or developing a technology or the fact that they tend to be money spenders and not money makers etc) but buyout premium is not one of them. I do not know anything about Buddy Media but I am assuming they had some patents, a good brand, customers or IP that made the acquisition make sense from the buyers perspective. I also do not know the market cap before its buyout aside from the 689 M buyout. It may have been 10x balance sheet assets but 10% premium above market cap when it was bought out for all I know. It is doubtful salesforce paid 10x the market cap, I took a quick look and cannot find and info on premium or what the market cap was before take over. I would stick to miners for an apples to apples comparison to be realistic and fair.
