Maybe they just need a government bailout? LOL...oh wait a minute US already gave them 250M to try to foster this technology at home. Now everyone whines that "Obama picked a loser" and the government should not be meddling in such a way and yet they also whine that A123 is too valuable to US to allow to be foreign owned and therefore the government should intervene by any means necessary.

Battery recycling (link below): this could be one small slice of the future aone you speak of...this was written just 5 days ago...maybe it was written about 6 months ago...i don't know, but it sure didn't get any air time this week if it is new news. Although they have developed this process its hared to say how valuable it is at this time.

Hello Opti I appreciate your thoughts but have some concerns. If all A123 assets are sold then it is simply a question if the sale of assets exceeds liabilities whether shareholders get any value. If part of the assets sold the question is how does that asset not sold that is then A123 make money. In order to be profitable A123 or whatever might be left after selling some assets needs to sell product. If they sell the Mi factory and the China fctories as assets there is no place left to manufacture batteries for sale without building a new plant. Therefore, it seems tome that the first option, sale of all assets is by far the highest probability and therefore a questioin of the sale price of those assets. If the sale price for all assets is less than 300M then most likely shareholders get zero.
