LD, why would any company spend $250,000,000 on a scam?

Ahhh, the transparency of a trader.

LD

I think you are misdirecting the issue. So let me make some statements

It is good to have different perspectives posting on the board including those who think it is a scam as long as there is some information provided to support these positions and they are not over done to become obnoxious and wasteful.

It is good to have financial comments about wave as a business as well as technical and market information to help assess the possibilities. Personally I don't value the technical stock trading hints about Wave and they are better placed on a separate board IMO. I suspect you post them because it helps you in certain eays -- raises your self image of yourself and also generates trading activity that is necessary to play with. I can also see how it could adversely impact your ability to execute trades on your own. So that's a tradeoff for you.

You sent Walt Mossburg emails and then purported to show us what you sent. However you falsely posted an email that did not show what you actually sent to him. That's the crime. And I can't quite figure out your thinking given that you posted the true email on another board. Did your ego just lead you to believe that no one would ever see or did you think you were being nice to the Wavoid world by gathering data secretly and were going to surprise us. Nonetheless being deceitful is a bad trait and it doesn't engender trust. And either you believe what you wrote and this is more than insulting to me or you were being deceitful to Mossburg. It's difficult to create a positive spin on this.

Later in the day reply....

When advocating a new cutting edge technology or a substandial change in normal operations, companies or persons can always be labeled a scam and a scam artist just because the development doesn't follow the complainers calendar.

Technology takes time. It does not germinate overnight. Many persons think into the future and when they try to bring their ideas to a development, they often are called scammers. True scammers are persons who know before hand what they are trying to do will not work. Entrepuers have an idea and they think and hope it will work.

Jules Verne wrote "20,000 Leagues Under the Sea". he used an atomic submarine. At the time submarines were just being develped--not even powered ones. Would he have been a scammer if he had tried to raise money and build one?

Many years ago a wildcat driller raised money to drill an oil well into some deep sands. After drilling for several years and reaching a depth of almost 20,000 feet, he was accused of being a scammer and arrested for swindling people with a useless oilwell. I believe he spent a few years in jail. Some years later, oil was discovered in the area at a depth below 20,000 feet. Was he a scammer or just ahead of his time. Drilling below 20,000 feet is common today.

Is Wave a scammer for developing a product to solve a problem that did not exist 20 years ago? They recognized the potential for computers. They have built a product for which there is an increasing demand. Are they sammers? Maybe in year 1988 technology, but in year 2005, they are the leaders in cutting edge technology.

Just my thoughts.
