What might a 1970 F250 used 5 times
in light duty be worth today?
Do you think it might still be able to execute the job it was designed to do?LMFAO!

jagman you posted "Do you still drive a 70's car????"
As a matter of fact I have a '70 SS Chevelle convertible 454 ci big block, that runs stronger than any car I have owned. Also the 1970 454 ci with 450 HP, and 500 TQ, is the most powerful engine GM has EVER put into a production car, including todays performance cars, ..... and I can easily leave a new JAG in my dust.
Also you can sit on the hood or trunk with no problem, because the steel is a heavier gauge, and therefore much stronger than todays cars. If I sit on the hood or trunk of a new car, it is going to give in.
Rigs are 99% steel, and the diesel engines made in the '70s are a quality product ... enough said, you bashers are really reaching.
We also was putting man on the moon during the '70s, when I was doing cartographic contract work for NASA making 'Lunar Landing Maps' ... we can't do that today.
Take care in knocking what was made in the '70s.

Jagman, I have a 1990 Silverado PU which has 312,000 miles on it and still has almost everything original in the engine. The transmission had the guts replaced twice, since a heavy foot seems to be the problem, but the engine runs like a dream. I have used synthetic Mobil 1 oil and do not have any build up inside the engine.
