jrf30, Interesting day in Court. I wouldn't want to steal any of waiting2's thunder since he was in the Court Room.

I think it's too early in the proceedings to say anything one way or the other. Tomorrow should be interesting when Steve is on cross examination and Jay is on the witness stand.

So far Jay's brother testified that he has no idea what the emeralds are worth and when questioned if he told investors what the emeralds were worth. He said, that he didn't tell them what the emeralds were worth.

Apparently, it was also brought out that the emeralds left the jurisdiction of South Florida and when you file an Admiralty Claim, you are not allowed to take them out of the jurisdiction of the Court.

Steve was also questioned about the chain of custody of the emeralds and couldn't give one, as he didn't have one as he should have as a substitude custodian of the emeralds.

And yes Jay, the Fisher Attorney's were smiling when they left the court room.

Just my personal opinion

jrf30, The most interesting thing that I heard in Court today concerned the treasure map that Jay bought in the bar.

Jay's Attorney wanted to bring the map in for a witness to testify to without having it authenticated. When the Fisher's Attorney objected to Map without it being authenticated. The Judge ask Jay's attorney where the man was that either made the map or sold the map to Jay. Jay's attorney stated that they couldn't find him.

Then the Judge asked Jay's Attorney, The name of the man that sold Jay the Map. Jay's Attorney wouldn't tell the Judge his name.

Seems kind of odd to me.

Just my personal opinion.
