I think it's too early in the proceedings to say anything one way or the other. Tomorrow should be interesting when Steve is on cross examination and Jay is on the witness stand.
So far Jay's brother testified that he has no idea what the emeralds are worth and when questioned if he told investors what the emeralds were worth. He said, that he didn't tell them what the emeralds were worth.
Apparently, it was also brought out that the emeralds left the jurisdiction of South Florida and when you file an Admiralty Claim, you are not allowed to take them out of the jurisdiction of the Court.
Steve was also questioned about the chain of custody of the emeralds and couldn't give one, as he didn't have one as he should have as a substitude custodian of the emeralds.
And yes Jay, the Fisher Attorney's were smiling when they left the court room.
