Then we have nothing left! Nothing at all! That's not a very
nice feeling.
We have simply memories of what could have been...
...of kernels poppin' and getting showered and warmly-sodden
with magical butter-like mystery substance, then generously salted
to an absolutely fabulous-dabulous one-of-a-kind mouthful of
crumbly-crackly salty-buttery kernels, provoking a bodily
outcry for a couple-sips of sweet, cold soda pop. YUM!
Gone are the days of lazy matinees with our laps-filled with hefty
bags of glowing yellow-white, pillowy, warm, lumpy-bumpy-humpy pock-korn.
The highly anticipated BREAK when we'd surge out from our
theatre seats and stride into the Lobby to...to get ourselves a treat!
Mel's HEAD shall forever be chiseled and enshrined in eternal,
mute marble -- its massive, bulbous forehead and baleful,
dolorous eyes staring starkly straight ahead at...nothing and nobody --
reminiscent of those gargantuan Easter Island carved, monolith-heads.
He's a HEAD MONOLITH...cold as stone.
Nonetheless...We have OTHER snacks and sensations to fry here
