IDK...went to Interactive Brokers and SRGE isn't listed on there as short-able...at least not in the US. Other than that, a buyout would have a very positive effect on PPS, at least in the short term.

How would a announcement of a buyout affect the short sqeeze?

About the same way it did with that Cash Dividend announcement.
There will be no short squeeze.
Plus a buyout announcement just might be the final nail in the SRGE coffin - just like it was when Alex Smid pulled that stunt with SAEI. The SEC suspended it.
