3 billion in the ground converted to profit is ???? ,I'm no miner so what the cost is to convert the 3 billion in the ground to bars isn't cheep,so a buyout my guess would not bring as much as a long term milling and mining operation that would bring profits for a long time giving them more time to acquire more mines and expand their operations to other locations making the company much more profitable.
