Companies typically do this to keep volatility to a minimum and make the company attract more bidders. IMO the only companies with this kind of cash on hand who could be potential bidders are GE ORCL, GM, JCI and Wanxiang since the judge has indicated that there are to be no joint bids. These are the guys with the bucks in the bank. Rest are stragglers, but the more bidders the higher we should see the price go up I have a rough estimate of 1-1.5 B for the deal. Forget automobiles Global Grid business alone is estimated to be a 50B market within 5 years. Its a steal. China has already tested the product and they want it to stabilize their growing grid.
