CVX—What’s tricky about Ecuador’s suit in Argentina is that the government of Argentina has a stake in CVX’s success there as a consequence of CVX’s collaboration with YPF. Does Argentina plan to simply rip off CVX as they did with Repsol? One would think such an outcome would close the country to any new foreign investment in the oil & gas industry.

Bottom line: Are you buyer or a seller of CVX at the current share price given whatever assumptions you are making about the litigation in Argentina, Brazil, and elsewhere? Anyone may chime in here!
