However, when I temper your enthusiasm with reality I don't want to extinguish it. BiB was publicly introduced in August. No way it was fully refined right out of the box (pun intended). That means a refinement/research spiral or two. None in last 10-Q so the next two 10-Q's are critical indicators IMO. If we see a spiral in the November 10-Q that is FAST--unveiling in August, refinement spiral before end of September. I know, I know, there was advance DoD interaction in development. Yes, yes but no FedGov money before June 2012.
So for you and others, my informed opinion is that a refinement spiral on the next 10-Q starts a 120 day clock running. I know that sux but it is 120 days, probably not less. Since the potential is 1,000 units (there are that many in the Afghan TOO now), I would expect an initial purchase of 1-5 units for T&E. Unless the recycler is junk, they should pass OK. The ISR is COTS so no problem there.
You say you have done DoD business so tell me--no matter how much we wish for faster--is my time line unrealistic? I am asking you--not the buttheads on this board who never won a contract or flown LTA ISR. As I said, I don't want to squash your enthusiasm--just temper it.
