I found the study design a bit limited. Here we have a group of sick (elevated CRP) and likely overweight folks in the study, who are essentially given 6mg a day for a month. As someone who has used Anatabloc for almost a year, I know from my experience that it takes longer than one month to get the full effect, and for me at least, works better at higher doses (8-10mg).I would have designed the study to have three groups, one placebo, one regular dose (6mg), and one higher dose (9mg), and have all groups treated for the full three months. That would have given the product a real chance to show if it works or not.

What we don't know from this press release is the amount the CRP was lowered in those that responded. If it lowers it 5-10% not that big a deal, but if it lowers 25% or more, that would be more significant.

On the good side, diabetes is an epidemic in our country, so if the product is shown to have health benefits in that population it is very relevant.

Good point. Several months ago I was taking 3-5 ibuprofen a day for neck, wrist, and other joint pain. I tried Anatabloc for a few weeks but did not feel much better. I've now consistently taken 6-9 Anatabloc per day for about six weeks and am not taking any ibuprofen! I've also started playing tennis again at age 70 with no ill effects.
