I found the study design a bit limited. Here we have a group of sick (elevated CRP) and likely overweight folks in the study, who are essentially given 6mg a day for a month. As someone who has used Anatabloc for almost a year, I know from my experience that it takes longer than one month to get the full effect, and for me at least, works better at higher doses (8-10mg).I would have designed the study to have three groups, one placebo, one regular dose (6mg), and one higher dose (9mg), and have all groups treated for the full three months. That would have given the product a real chance to show if it works or not.

What we don't know from this press release is the amount the CRP was lowered in those that responded. If it lowers it 5-10% not that big a deal, but if it lowers 25% or more, that would be more significant.

On the good side, diabetes is an epidemic in our country, so if the product is shown to have health benefits in that population it is very relevant.
