MM couple questions pls.Since you were a MM u may have some insight and correct me if i am wrong
1) Sometimes a stock with alot of liquidity like AApl will be down and then all of a sudden run fast and then hit a certain price level and stall and just churn at that price without losing any volume coming in. and the suddenly back off and go down again . It will do this several times during the day . Obviously this is a resistance point. My question is do big traders just set up their computers to run it and when it gets to that R level set the programs to sell or short the stock there.
It almost seems rigged to me . Is it just computer programs kicking in and a bunch or traders agreeing to do the same thing so it cant move above or below a certain point. Is it these super hyper computer programs kicking in stall these runs or fades.
And then another day there is no resistance in say appl and it happens to GOOG. Do traders just decide just to rotate to different stocks on different days.
Thanks for any insights
