W3 - Go4 is right - the escrow shares are just tracking markers... but i think your question was whether or not you will see some monetary value flow through them...
(People use the word 'shares' kinda incorrectly -- they're technically CUSIPs for tracking -- but shares is colloquial)
My answer is "maybe". There's a reason it's a 3 year minimum on the litigation side of things with a possible 3 year extension.
So adjust time frame accordingly -- in fact, it's really not even required to adjust -- you either have escrow tracking markers, or you don't -- you can't buy more, or sell them.
As time goes on, we're going to see more and more of a mental split - people who were "there" -- "back when" the new WMI Holding Company (WMIH) came into being, and also got "escrow" tracking markers....
And those who just have WMIH shares... Current common shares of the new company.
Many can't make the mental split today. But it's real.
