If I'm correct, and I know there are plenty here to correct me if I'm wrong:

Trading is halted for 20 days as the stock transfer agent issues the new shares for everybody's old shares. If you hold them in certificate form yourself, you must physically turn them in.

The kicker, IMO, will be if there are any naked shorts that can't be proven by the 31st. We'll see and maybe I have it all wrong, debu. Someone correct me if my thinking is maligned. TIA

After this I'm out for the night. I guess I wasn't clear. There is not a trading halt. Just how long it takes your broker to send the certs to the TA and then the TA send the new certs back to your broker.

I just went through one and had my new shares in my acct in about 10 days. But some waited 6 weeks. Those were the scottraders. They suck BTW They are always the last, except for zecco.

But you can always buy new shares from the 31st on, and once you get your shares you can; sell them or hold or add to them.

But the Float will be thin at first. MMs usually get their shares first for their customers. Not because of anything else except that they get right on top of these things, faster than most brokerages.

I'm out for tonight........To get updates from your broker; Call them and ask for Corporate Actions Dept.

I know it is crazy in saying this because no one intheir right mind likes splits, but in a way it is good he made the float this low(It also kinda tells me he may know how to trade the stock market)For the 20 days if i remember correctly all we can do is buy,(The 20 days is the conversion process to the new shares)During this time it is just the company selling...The key to a higher share price is when the D is removed and regular trading starts back.......the shorts will wait till the last minuite before pulling the trigger.......If they don't see the Longs Panic selling.......They will have to buy high.......But if the Longs don't see the price maintaining they will pull the sell trigger and that is what the shorts are waiting for ask Brendan that is what he is waiting for he knows what i am saying...It will be a cat and mouse game...However i see the longs winning this game because it is a Metals and Milling game with an approved Permit Issued By The Government of the United states.......So i say we win,Game over...Sorry Shorts...The longs only problem is that wall st is as corrupt as they come...And The Brokers are holding hands with the MM's and the shorts know this and will use that as an advantage to keep from pulling the trigger to the last second...It will be like two cars are heading toward each other who is going to turn first...Well i am off for tonight...Go metals $CGFIA

i know, the last r/s i went through trading was halted only long enough for the broker to receive the shares. 3 days, then it was trading as usual.
