Phil, yes "Hap" would be an acronym for Hapmap, which as I understand it is what Affy and the rest are using, where DnaPrint is using Admixmap identifying properties. Here again, I take liberty in understanding, not being a scientist and receiving info from the boards and DD. As I understand it, Tony is looking at the more isolated SNP where hapmap is targeting more grouped loci.. The definition has been bantered about, but I am pulling a blank to it's exact wording as age takes it toll. LOL I swear, it almost takes a linguist to keep up, even in general. haha

loch3, You should definitely review the terminology.

Admixmap is not the exclusive domain of DNAG. It is a freeware product developed by others and available on-line for anyone.

That DNAG has taken this database and played with it is not in doubt, but it is certainly NOT representative of 'first, one and only".

Do a google search using 'admixmap'. See if you find anything familiar....that you may have been led to believe was DNAG technology.
