from the history of this whole thing I believe this to be a fight of law between Jorge Lopehandia and Barrick Gold Corp with the help of MSX putting out the news as Jorge has no other real avenues to do this
This is why the 50% - 50% JV has not been done yet, it wont get signed off until After the court procedings are complete in Chile to strike out the Barrick claims ect.... you get the point here?

Also, if Jorge wins in Chile, I could see money being raised Quickly so that MSX can take Barrick Canada, you know, Peter Munk and his friends to Court in Canada to take back the cash that Peter and his Canadian friends have been stealing from MSX shareholders for so long

After reading the first part of the NR a number of times - it does seem like Jorge L. initiated the proceedings: "Juan G. Torres, the Chilean lawyer acting for Jorge Lopehandia, the company's joint venture partner, informs "with regards to the criminal action for injuries (libel and perjury)....."

Thus, it SEEMS Jorge L. is suing each and every one of the representatives of Compania Minera Barrick Chile Ltda. and Compania Minera Nevada SpA. for libel and perjury.

So what .... what does that do for MSX? Anyone?
