As i recall going back a few picks TD halts trading as soon as word gets out that its a big promo. I know this is not what younwant to here, but its just my memory.
Curt, I missed SNPK because TD Ameritrade refused to let me trade it. It is a DTC issue. Ameritrade has a long list of tickers that it will not allow electronic and even phone trades. APS usually picks tickers from the list. I got pissed off after watching SNPK, and opened up an E-Trade account in the Spring. Other than slow execution, like them much better. Still have both brokers. I would recommend ditching TD for trading pennies. I keep TD for their tools (mobile in particular). If you open account today you could fund it in several days. Could trade APS by early next week. APS usually gives you opps to buy in along the way.
