Jar - I do not believe studying through a subject is doing "contortions". Especially when you are dealing with a subject as important as this one. After all, we ARE discussing roughly 5-10% of the world's population here. Now it may not seem like much. But try the shoe on the other foot for a moment.

Let's suppose for a moment that the Church told you that you could accept Jesus Christ all right. But that to please God (really the Church) you needed to become a homosexual else you would be "sinning". Wouldn't that be bothersome to you? Wouldn't you want to study the subject out a bit to see if they were correct or incorrect in their interpretation of Scripture? Remember it is you who are telling THEM to change. They are not asking you to. Studying the Word of God to understand and rightly divide God’s will from man’s doctrine is always a worthwhile “contortion” in my opinion.

mlsoft & everyone...those that hide and use the bible to discriminate in any form, against the common decency of humanity are an "abomination" to me and millions of others. You talk of common sense often in your posts....it is common sense to me, that what people do as adults, that hurt no others or them, yet brings love and joy to them is not an abomination. Please read the post I put up this morning...they were Matthew Shepards mom's comments at his murder trial. I pray you may learn something about morality, love, compassion, care, joy, tolerance, trust, fellowship, and the good things Jesus tought, things that many have no clue about, yet appear to be experts on. I pray for Matthew Shepards mom and him; am i allowed to do that, since i do not follow the bible?

If terrorist wanted to close deliveries of petroleum products into NYC area he would not have picked a better place to try and block Arthur Kill port channel. Barge was parked at pier on right side of picture.

And to think I got this satellite image of narrowest part of Arthur Kill channel in about 2 minutes.

Open up image to large and you will see what I mean. It is on a bend on channel.


Channel is only about 1200 feet wide that that point. The outerbridge crossing bridge is very heavily guarded just south of blast site which would be heavily guarded is only other narrow site in Authur Kill.
