If terrorist wanted to close deliveries of petroleum products into NYC area he would not have picked a better place to try and block Arthur Kill port channel. Barge was parked at pier on right side of picture.

And to think I got this satellite image of narrowest part of Arthur Kill channel in about 2 minutes.

Open up image to large and you will see what I mean. It is on a bend on channel.


Channel is only about 1200 feet wide that that point. The outerbridge crossing bridge is very heavily guarded just south of blast site which would be heavily guarded is only other narrow site in Authur Kill.
