Rachel - It's true that there is no marketing advantage in broadcasting one's TC solution at this point, since the general public doesn't know much about this space and as you say there are very view applications out there that can take advantage of trusted computing. However, I do think that the OEMs who are deploying TPMs are keeping a pretty tight lid on their plans for TPM 1.2 deployment and I believe that this is for competitive reasons. SKS himself said that Wave has to be careful what they divulge at this point since they are currently supplying different companies that compete against each other and want to maintain a competitive advantage. He also said that Wave has in some cases tweaked ETS offerings to include features demanded by a given OEM and each OEM no doubt wants to release information about these features at the most opportune moment. While we're on the topic, I've wondered what features Gateway might like to see on a Gateway ETS edition seeing that they want to include the TPM 1.2 on Media Centre PCs. Just thinking out loud here, but is the inclusion of TVTonic in ETS in the cards for the near future? Regards, Foam
