Yes a nickel weighs 5 grams.
An iPhone 4S weighs 140 grams which would be 28 nickels, not 9.
Based on the density of liquidmetal (6.1 grams/cm3) from the datasheet published on the website and the rumored L x W x H (.1cm), I'm estimating a liquidmetal CASING to be 45 grams.
A few questions, while we're on the subject.
- Do you know of datasheets for other material compositions?
- Do you know the min/max thickness that can be cast?
- Is 100 grams of raw material input to the process equal to 100 grams of material output?
