I just read some of the SEC Complaint and the first thing that jumped out at me was that they referred to a certain party as "Internet Forum"......it's mentioned many times without being identified.
This jig is officially up: "As part of this effort Williams claimed – falsely – that he had a PhD in structural engineering from, among others, the University of Connecticut."
How many personal bankruptcies are there. How many divorces? Kids not going to college because their college funds are gone. Or worse, how many are no longer with us?
Pennies aren't a victimless crime and despite protestations of "I know what I'm doing". The vast majority have not a clue how they are being fleeced.
Yikes, that is some damning stuff. A lot of people were taken in by Mr. Williams, myself included. Thankfully I escaped nearly unscathed with only minor losses and some wounded pride. I learned a valuable lesson; I just wish I had listened to those who warned me from the get go. I read all 33 pages and two things stand out: who were the other folks who helped Monk and the whole "shorty" thing is just a lot of BS. I think the SEC is making a point - DON'T BELIEVE THE NSS SCHEME. This will all play out over the coming months. It will be a very interesting story to follow.
