Detonate, I have recently seen some similar situations. This weekend I was in the Columbia, SC Mall (the one off of Harbison Rd), and I went in the GNC store and talked to the sales associate (an older guy probably in his early 60's). He had heard about Anatabloc and they had two bottles on the shelf, but he said that they hadn't sold much (he said only 2 bottles since they got it in). So, what I am seeing in my visits to GNC stores is a wide range of knowledge about Anatabloc and a wide variation in sales. A few stores are selling it like hotcakes (5 bottles per week or more), but many are only selling 1-2 bottles per month. I see a increase in knowledge in the product (overall), but we are not where we need to be in educating GNC store personnel because there are many that don't know anything but the name and that Freddie Couples uses it.
I did spend about 30 minutes telling this guy what Anatabloc has done for me, and what I know it has done for my friends who are taking it (including the woman with MS who thinks it is a wonder drug). By the time I left the store, he was a believer and was going to start taking it himself.
I will spend some time over the next week accumulating all my notes from all my visits to GNC stores since the start of Q2, and I will come up with an estimate for what I think revenues will be in Q2. I feel sure it will be at least triple the Q1 revenues, but at one point I thought sales might increase of a factor of 5 or more. Based on some of my recent visits, I think that was overly optimistic. Sales are growing steadily in many stores, but there are still a lot of GNC stores where it is moving slowly.
Based on my visits, there are stores in NYC and in Florida that are selling >5 bottles per week in July, but I think the average per store sales number is probably about 1.3 - 1.5 bottles per week. Of course, after the release of any positive clinical trial results that garner national media attention (Dr. Oz, Dr. Drew, Dr. Bob Martin radio show, etc.), I think we could see sales at GNC stores go ballistic.
JMHO,
