I'd guess it's because Virtras books and record keeping were a complete cluster!!

Typically the way it works is if earnngs are going to be bad they get announced friday after market close and if they are good begining of the trading week. I tend to think it's going to be friday and then a couple fluff p/rs next week ...JMO
