Yes, I've had many spinoff experiences. Usually acts more like a stock dividend than a theoretical mathematical equation i.e. (a $0.20 stock becoming $0.14 and $0.06).
The original stock, being IDWS in this situation, is usually unaffected by the spinoff. If IDWS is $0.20, and spinoff is given for $0.07, I've never seen the original stock drop by equal proportion($0.07). It usually stays the same, that's why I relate it more to the scenario of a stock dividend.
From what I understand, they're trying to spin 995ad off straight to the bbs? Can anyone verify that is what they're trying to do?
