I disagree in this case. Intel made a conscious decision to keep the memory controller on the chipset, which has the advantage of flexibility with newer memory standards. With Intel, they CPU and chipset go hand in hand, so it is absolutely apples-apples to include the memory controller of the chipset with the CPU, as AMD takes advantage of their own integrated memory controller. You and Pete are ignoring the perhaps only inherent competitive advantage of keeping the memory controller external, and you put it under the guise of "comparing the CPU".

And besides, when it's to Pete's advantage to isolate the CPU, he'll isolate the CPU. If they CPU becomes less relevant, he'll change the subject to something else. Like I reminded him in the previous post, the conversation was about Centrino's competitiveness vs. Turion, so naturally he changed the subject to comparing just the CPU, while eliminating Intel's advantage with the chipset. But of course I suspect you know that all too well....
