I don't believe that TOTAL owes any meter by meter information to ADDAX/SNP ...I'm sure ADDAX will receive some completed report at some time, but to think TOTAL would daily brief ADDAX on their drilling operations I do not think is realistic IMO
Addax doesn't need a daily brief, they can get the real-time data, as it happens. For example, they can be drilling in Africa and a team in Houston can be looking at all the real-time data on their control panels.
Not much different from how all of us can read posts on Ihub right after the 'submit post' button is clicked. (Its all just a series of bits and bytes that are transmitted, a collection of 0's and 1's)This is 2012, technology is very advanced.
Or they can have an engineer on the drill-ship watching over and chatting with the contractors doing the work.
Typically JV partners get a daily drilling report and it is also highly likely that they have a man on the drillship as well. Just because ERHC does not do this doesn't mean any responsible JV partner wouldn't. Some companies believe it is important to have someone looking after their own interests.
