I do not agree, institutional investors have left this stock by the millions in the last quarter, they require proper guidance from the management of IDCC, without that, why would they take the risk. The volume clearly indicates that institutional interest is low.

I am watching the stock prices on level II and it appears to me that the price changes are so erratic and the pricing intervals are too big, suggesting that there are many traders who do not know what is happening, buying too high or selling too low. A good indication of whether the news has really penetrated into the trading community is when the prices are close together and the price changes are not too erratic. I think it will take some time or a good PR release for the smoothing out of the trading.

Institutional trading, by the way, is made among themselves outside this retail market so while it does affect the price traded on Nasdaq (because of arbitrage), it does not make any offers or bid on this market itself. The same thing for buy backs of shares -- it is normally done outside this active market or even after hours.
