I thought I would get a short signal today but instead got another long signal.I stayed long at the close.

Agree from totally different angle. I'm fortunante to have 9.3 years of stock mkt data compiled in my program, so when I get a bounce like this into a short signal, instead of being overly discouraged, I can go back and see if its happened before, yet the short ended in a profit.

It has. There are no guarantess in the markets and I get the occasional loss but most every other of the 11 shorts saw everything go green on indicators, before the downtrend resumed to a profit.
