Of course I am sure I am wrong but if you was to affirm the Luckern decision one would think they could use his analogy of why no infringement and bingo its done. Hence the long period means to me they are writting why and showing why Luckern's opinion is being overturned and they want to be damn sure they get it right if they overturn another judge especially if he has died. I think right is going to prevail as way way to many allegedly knowlegeable people disagreed with Luckern and foud that no way Nokia was circumventing the IDCC patents. I think the court have found the same thing.
I honestly think they hope Nokia and IDCC settle and they can avoid maybe embarassing a deceased brother Judge.
It appears your assuming blue sky, thats fine, it will be whatever it will be, but I don't have the same faith in patent troll companies, especially poorly run ones. IMO
