meschere, thanks for pointing out billions of Euros vs. billions of Swedish Crowns. Big difference.

I wonder who is the "US media quoted by DI" saying that InterDig is looking for damages of 40b kronor (about $4b dollars and about $4b Euros). Dang, that has to bring a smile to Mickey's face ;)

Mschere: I don't think the Euro currency existed at the time this lawsuit was filed. When was the amount of damages requested presented to the court, or does this amount get updated on an annual basis?

MY COMMENT:IDCC management had enough foresight to sue for Billions of Euros as opposed to Billions of Dollars and make hundreds of Millions of Dollars extra with a favorable exchange rate!

IDCC is in U.S. court and is suing for good ole U.S. greenback dollars. When an article is written, the publication converts the denomination into the one with which their audience is familiar.
