"This is true for all smart phones, so it is a bit silly to say we get 3% of $800 etc."

You are correct it is a bit silly when you STOP and THINK for half a second that the I-pad or smartphone would be an $800 piece of non working junk with out IDCC's essential technology inside.

Based on what? Re: Idcc has plenty of room to get back to $50-$60 share price, just not $100
More blue sky wishful thinking. Many, many here have already been caught on that pump, where’s the next group going to come from?
I really don’t think anybody would believe that the various companies involved in the legal disputes are all going to roll over. Not going to happen.
Do you?
The company had a decent run from 03 to what maybe 07, but come on.
The company has a very difficult time getting a solid license deal done. They have a very hard time running thru the courts. Don’t believe me, name all the major, and I mean major revenue generating licenses that they have gotten in say the last 3 years, or how about the 5 years. While you’re at it run thru all those keys court cases they have won in the same time frame.
Have you noticed the ramp up in sales of products that they claim have their IP in them in the same time frame. Where’s the money, sure you can claim the company says this, and has that and right around the corner is the next big thing. Just wait, it coming, right?
Show it to me in the share price, THE bottom line.
They’re great at the hype, hockey stick, the calculator with all those zeros, etc etc, but what caused there best raise in price was when the announced they were selling the company, the bad news was nobody wanted it. There is some reality in there that you may wish to realize.
IDCC I would think a year from now will have a hard time coming up with a dollar a year in earnings. They’re falling, and while I’m not prepared to say they can’t get back up again, 50 to 60 to me is laughable.
You would be better off buying into Nok, at 2 something share. My point on that is I think Nok will get to 5 to 6 before Idcc gets to 50 to 60 .

Why don't you try telling Qualcomm that all of their licensees were mistaken when they agreed to pay approx 5% of the wholesale price of every subscriber unit and device, not just a royalty on the baseband?
Good thing they live in the real world, not yours.
