OT: My company develops a web based event calendar for clients. The tool requires that a zip code be entered for each event created. If the user doesn't know the zip code, we provide a link to the USPS ZipCode Lookup tool and auto-populate the zip code field with the selected value. When someone performs a search on all events, they can choose to enter a request within 5, 10, 25, or 50 miles radius of a chosen zip code. The tool works well and returns a very accurate list.

Hector, when the 'bashers' come, and they most likely will at some point, this is exactly what they would jump on! LOL!


"I was complaining to 995ad.com about their internal search engine because any time you enter a zip code, it will automatically say "zero results".

I guess this is because when sellers list their products, maybe they're not asked a zip code. Go figure. It's a bad mistake on their part, I hope they get that fixed
