Back when IHub put an annoying icon on your Favorites page when you boardmarked a stock, I used to name everything I took an interest in as a "favorite" stock just to get rid of the icon.
I ended up with tons on my "favorites" list, and so stopped doing that. Eventually I removed some, but never got round to getting rid of the rest.
That said, never assume that people only put stocks on their "favorite" list because they actually like the stock.
