laranger,

Here is the statement on the award I got from the business wire:

" Based on the royalty rates established by the Tribunal, InterDigital estimates that Nokia's royalty obligations for covered infrastructure and handset sales from January 1, 2002 through December 31, 2003 will be approximately $112 million. In addition, InterDigital estimates that royalty obligations for covered infrastructure and handset sales for the period January 1, 2004 through December 31, 2006 will be in the range of $120 million to $140 million depending upon whether Nokia avails itself of a prepayment option for the eighteen month period from July 1, 2005 through December 31, 2006. "

It does not seem to include interest payments. I wonder if the disallowed cash discount is part of the calculation?

No one on this Board can state with certainty that Nokia has even Paid its ICC financial obligation..which was based on a percent of the amount of the final Arbitral Award..which Nokia stated was "irrational"..IDCC may well be seeking re-inbursement from Nokia for their entire Arbitral expense which Nokia has repudiated, by refusing to comply...No one even knows if Nokia has prepared an accounting schedule of their royalty covered sales and has submitted it to IDCC....
